Modular origami cube

Description

I wanted to try several things out. One of them was how I could use thick paper for origami. This is made of squares cut out of A5. It is about 200g/m² (normal paper is 80g/m²).

Also wanted to see how these colours fitted together and what folds do what with the cube. I found out (after making half of the pieces) how to make it so no folds are seen on the outside. It is a bit big though, but I think I can make it with a bit smaller squares, without the thick paper giving a problem.

I really like it because I gets these smooth edges.

~If you have any questions (e.g. tutorial, how big the paper was), feel free to ask it in the comments and I'll try to help the best I can!~

Reminds me of the cube I made a while back with nearly an identical color scheme: [link] I mention this because you wanted to make a smaller one. The one I assembled is a cubic inch (or 2.5cm to a side since you are using metric) using paper that was 3.75cm square. Looks like you used large card stock though. It's a pain to fold but the finished product is sturdy. Not certain what weight my paper is but it's the standard, rather thin origami stuff. Also, you can do some fun stuff with combining cubes like this: [link]

Keep up the good work.
